Product Description
Film Faced Plywood Introduction
Film Faced Plywood, also called black phenolic coated plywood, is made by pressing multiple layers of poplar or eucalyptus veneers crosswise, then hot-pressing both sides with a black waterproof film. The boards are waterproof and wear-resistant, resistant to glue failure and deformation. After removing the formwork, the concrete surface is smooth and flat, allowing for exposed concrete pours without needing a second plastering step. The boards are large, moderately heavy, and highly reusable, making them suitable for various concrete construction projects like high-rise buildings, bridges, tunnels, and basements. They help reduce labor and material costs and are the mainstream choice for construction formwork.
Film Faced Plywood Classification
Black & Brown Phenolic Film Plywood (PF glue)
covered with 120–220g/㎡ phenolic paper and bonded with WBP waterproof glue. Resists rainwater immersion with service cycles from 8 to 25 times, the dominant export item for Middle East, Africa and Southeast Asia markets.

Film Faced Plywood Advantages
- The construction turns out well The double-sided black phenolic film is dense and smooth, so concrete doesn't stick to the board. Demolding is easy without rough spots or honeycombing. The poured surface is flat and shiny, achieving a fair-faced concrete look, eliminating the need for wall plastering, and saving labor and mortar.
- Waterproof and moisture-resistant Laminated and waterproof, it won't easily absorb water, swell, peel, or lose glue during rain, in basements, or underwater construction, and it's not prone to warping or deforming.
- High turnover, great value for money Wear-resistant and scratch-proof, can be reused 8–15 times with normal use, far more than ordinary plain boards and red templates.
- Improving construction efficiency Moderate weight, easy for workers to carry, simple to cut and drill, suitable for beams, columns, walls, pile caps, and various bridge structures.
- Suitable for a wide range of situations Applicable to all cast-in-place concrete projects like high-rise buildings, villas, basements, garages, bridges, tunnels, water conservancy utility tunnels, and factories; can be used reliably on both high and low temperature or damp construction sites.
- Additional cost-saving advantage No need for plastering, shortening the overall construction time; fewer board surface damages, low waste rate; the amount of release agent can be greatly reduced, further cutting down on accessory costs.
